Bittersweet Goodbye...

Crazy Domestic has been such a fun site to start up and watch grow. In less than 1 year, we have met some fabulous people and have had some awesome opportunities sent our way. Both of us are stay at home moms and our little ones certainly make life fun and they make life crazy and we wouldn't have it any other way! Just as I am sure most moms feel at times, we have struggled to find a balance between family life and the blogging world. It has forced us to reevaluate our schedules and simplify our routines. We have thought several times about letting go of this blog to help manage our time, but our encouraging readers and creative outlet have kept us going.

Now that both of us are expecting babies again, we are thinking once more of ways to simplify. New babies are such a blessing and are so exciting, but they can also turn your world upside down! Megan's "discovery" of carrying twins just kind of solidified the deal for us- we really need to focus on our families.

We have decided that instead of growing this blog, we want to watch our kids grow. We want to play with our kids and better our homes and we want to have one less "to-do" item on our list. (Mom's have enough responsibility anyway, right?!)

Our decision to stop posting on Crazy Domestic is bittersweet. We love our readers and the support of the creative blog community, but as soon as we both agreed that it was time to let go,  it all seemed to fit and make sense and we are sure that it is what we need to do.

Crazy Domestic's archives will remain available for now. All posts have also been transferred to Somewhat Simple where I plan to continue my routine over there. Megan just might be back with her own ideas on a brand new site once she gets a handle on life as a mom of twins.

For now, we thank you for your loyalty and your support and we wish you all the best!

  6. It's so hard to find the balance between family and blogging sometimes. But when push comes to shove, family wins out every time. You both have to do what is right for you and yours. We will certainly miss Crazy Domestic, but I am happy to still see Stephanie at Somewhat Simple.

  17. Megan & Stephanie:

I am really proud of your decision! Not an easy one, to be sure. But I hope you're feeling the sense of peace that comes with a load lifted, a good decision made.

There will always be time for blogging when the kids are older or have left the nest, but you will never get these precious years back. You are absolutely doing the right thing.

Blessings to you & your families:
    Ginny

  25. Sad to see you go , but I TOTALLY understand. I'm having a hard time keeping up with everything, and I only have 1 child who is in school. I don't think I could have kept up with a blog while I had a new baby.

  34. Hi,

I am a new reader to your blog. I recently had twins too, congratulations!!! It is so exciting. Ours were a HUGE surprise as well. It is a huge blessing and so exciting. If I could give you one piece of advice, hope you don't mind, do what works best for you and your situation; don't let anyone make you feel guilty for the decisions that you make for you and your family. Your sanity is more important than anything else.

Anyway, just wanted to say congratulations to you both and good luck.
